I thought I would have more time to write this summer - not less! I don't know where the hours go. I know Wednesdays are out because I babysit my 3 year old grandson. He keeps me hopping all day long. Sundays are out because of church activities. Mondays Im usually cleaning up from the weekend. Then on Thursdays......you get the point.
I had to go back to the game of "I will write at least 1 hour today". It's the only thing I can do to keep going - schedule some time. And of course once I get going, it always ends up more than 1 hour. When my husband starts harvest in August I am going to plan some all day sessions. I need a breakthrough on my WIP.
It's strange to make an appointment with myself, but I know a lot of you out there do the same thing with the important things in your life. Most of us live lives that are busy with wanted and unwanted interruptions. But when there is something (writing) that you know you are supposed to do, it takes reminders to keep it at the top of your busy list. I really appreciate all of you bloggers out there that are encouragers.
Do the rest of you have to talk to yourselves and schedule time?
